In 2025, mobile technologies and services generated $7.6 trillion for the global economy, equivalent to 6.4% of GDP. The industry’s economic impact will grow to $11.3 trillion by 2030, as the adoption of 5G, AI and other digital technologies gather pace.

Operators are increasingly moving beyond internal AI use cases to focus on revenue, with 45% seeing monetisation as a strategic priority. Partnerships with hyperscalers, AI platform providers and IT companies are enabling them to reduce time to market, mitigate capital risk and differentiate service delivery.
