Cursor and Slack are hosting a workshop on using coding agents to turn conversations with your teammates into shipped code. On April 27th, Jack Clary and Nathan L. will show you how to kick off agents directly in Slack and set up always-on automations that monitor channels, triage issues, and propose fixes autonomously. Chainguard 🤝 Cursor We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Cursor to make secure-by-default open source the foundation for AI-driven development. Now, developers using Cursor can pull from Chainguard’s minimal, CVE-free containers and malware-resistant libraries instead of public registries. As AI-generated coding scales, the real challenge is verifiable trust. This partnership allows teams using Cursor and Chainguard to build safely with AI.

We recently shipped quality-of-life improvements to the Cursor CLI to make working with agents in the terminal more delightful. Use /debug to find root causes and fix tricky bugs that are hard to reproduce or understand. See everything new in the Cursor CLI here: https://lnkd.in/gP2mqmNf

Amplitude is using Cursor to build an autonomous development pipeline that takes software from idea to production with minimal developer intervention. Over 1,000 agent runs are now kicked off every week without any manual prompting. Parallelized agents migrate legacy code, review PRs, and fix bugs continuously in the background. "Most AI coding tools give you more code. Cursor gives you more useful production software. The ability to run agents that can effectively parallelize work, test their own changes, and take a feature from idea to production is the difference," says Curtis Liu, CTO at Amplitude. We’re excited to announce our partnership with Elastic. With the new Elastic plugin on the Cursor Marketplace, coding agents can now go beyond codebase awareness and tap directly into live production data: logs, security alerts, Kibana dashboards, and Elasticsearch queries. We partnered with University of Chicago economist Suproteem Sarkar to study how more capable models have changed the way people use Cursor. Across 500 teams, we find that developers are tackling more ambitious work with AI, with a 68% increase in high-complexity tasks this year.
