The Energy Web Foundation fosters value creation in the energy sector by building and promoting an open, decentralized software infrastructure built around blockchain technology. Our objectives are 1) to develop an ecosystem of users, application developers and infrastructure providers, 2) to work jointly to identify and assess blockchain use cases in energy, 3) to build an open source IT infrastructure upon which these use cases can be implemented, 4) to educate regulators and other stakeholders and provide input to standardization bodies.

Energy Web Verified Compute Explorer is an interface for inspecting the outputs of the Verified Compute Cloud service in real time. Through the Explorer, users can view: - Task execution rounds - Consensus outcomes and verification status - Verified Compute operators confirmations and participation - Customisable verified outputs, assets or certificates produced by workflows This transparency layer allows external stakeholders, including any engaged auditors and regulators, to access verification outcomes. In the case of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Registry, these are accessible publicly.

It allows organizations to run critical workflows (such as emissions calculations, registry operations, or compliance and other data and process checks) and produce results that are independently verifiable, rather than relying on a single system or intermediary. The outcome is continuous, audit-ready verification: - Results can be inspected at any time - Data integrity is guaranteed by design - Privacy is protected In practical terms, #VerifiedComputeCloud transforms how markets operate, from relying on sporadic audits and fragmented systems to real-time, deterministic verification embedded directly into workflows.
A recent study of 3,500 companies found that most corporate climate claims are misleading or poorly substantiated, meaning many organizations risk accusations of greenwashing. Credibility is now the central challenge. As regulation tightens and scrutiny increases, companies will need evidence-based verification systems to support their sustainability claims.
