This month, the Gemini app expanded its capabilities to become even more intuitive, integrated and personalized. Here's a snapshot of what's new: 🌏 Personal Intelligence is now available to even more users around the world. Now, it can also generate images that reflect your life, interests and the things you care about most using Nano Banana and your Google Photos library. 📓 We introduced notebooks — our “project” feature that integrates with NotebookLM, giving you a home base for your big ideas that stays in sync across both tools. 🍎 The Gemini app is now available on Mac. Download the desktop app to get assistance from Gemini with just a keyboard shortcut (Option + Space) and share anything on your screen — including local files — to get support with whatever you’re looking at. 🎵 Create custom music tracks up to 3 minutes long for free with Lyria 3 Pro.  To try it, select “Create music” in the tools menu and “Thinking” or “Pro” from the model picker. 📈 Gemini can now transform complex questions into custom, interactive visualizations right in your chat — like playing with adjustable sliders for gravity and velocity to explore how the moon orbits earth. You know them, you love them — but have you ever wondered where the ambient wallpaper images you see on Google TV Streamer and Nest Hubs come from? Believe it or not, Google employees worldwide have actually taken many of them! Each year, a panel of volunteer Google judges solicits photo submissions from Googlers and votes on winners based on a myriad of factors. While there’s no secret sauce to winning, there are a few qualifications that may lead to certain photos ending up in the “no” pile, like black and white pictures, images with high dynamic ranges or contrast (they can be too bright on HDR TV screens) and photos that are * too * interesting since the winning photos are meant to fade into the background and not distract. While Googler-submitted photos make up many of our default screensavers, you can also choose your own albums from Google Photos to customize the backgrounds on your own devices. Learn how and scroll through some of our winning images below ↓ https://goo.gle/4cCgsRo

    • A castle peeks out above the trees of a forest, with rolling fields visible in the distance.

When Mireia joined Google as a Technical Enablement Program Manager, she realized her biggest way to contribute as a new hire was her fresh eyes. “Don't wait for permission to lead,” she advises. “Look for the 'unclaimed' friction points: Is the onboarding outdated? Fix it. Is there no central place for team notes? Create it. Is there a workflow missing? Define and automate it. Your greatest asset as a new hire is your fresh mindset; use your innovative drive and build a reputation for adding value." Mireia’s journey wasn't a straight line — she moved from business management into the technical world. Now, she spends her days bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution, making sure everyone has the tools to solve technical problems. Mireia’s tips for those interested in a similar role? "Be curious and stay proactive. Raise your hand for new opportunities, connect with teams outside your immediate circle, and never stop learning. Your journey here is what you make of it." Check out open roles on the Google Cloud team → goo.gle/4mdmcVz
