Amazing to see a technical recruiter with this level of commitment to the community. Proud to have Foxley Talent as a Member!
Foxley Talent has just donated $5,000 to the Django Software Foundation, renewing our Corporate Membership for another year. That's $20,000 donated in total since I started the company! 🦊 💵 This year's donation carries more weight for me than before. It has been the toughest 12 months since I started the business but the donation stayed the same, because giving back to the DSF isn't something I do only when times are good, it's something I do because it's the right thing to do. I have written a blog post covering why making donations matters, the DSF's new $500,000 fundraising goal and the Open Source Pledge. 🔗 Link in the comments. Congratulations to Open Source Endowment on their public launch! We welcome this new model as another step in evolving beyond business models that subsidize Open Source to institutions that truly sustain it. More thoughts: https://lnkd.in/eF_vRrWk.
Today we're launching the Open Source Endowment (OSE), the world's first endowment fund dedicated to sustainably funding critical open source software. It has $750K+ in committed capital from 60+ founding donors, including founders and executives of HashiCorp, Elastic, ClickHouse, Supabase, Sentry, n8n, NGINX, Vue.js, cURL, Pydantic, Gatsby, and Zerodha. OSE is a US 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations are invested in a low-risk portfolio, and only the annual investment returns are used for OSS grants. Every dollar keeps working, year after year, in perpetuity. Our endowment is governed by its donor community, and the core team includes board members Konstantin Vinogradov(founding chairman), Chad Whitacre, and Maxim Konovalov; executive director Jonathan Starr; and advisors Amy Parker, CFRE and Vlad-Stefan Harbuz. Everyone is welcome to donate (US contributions are tax-deductible). Those giving $1,000+ become OSE Members with real governance rights: a vote on how funds are distributed, input on strategy, and the ability to elect future board directors as the organization grows. None of this would be possible without our founding members, to whom we are grateful: Mitchell Hashimoto, Shay Banon, Jan Oberhauser, Daniel Stenberg, Kailash Nadh, Thomas Dohmke, Alexey Milovidov, Yuxi You, Tracy Hinds, Sam Bhagwat, Chris Aniszczyk, Paul Copplestone, and many more below. Open source runs the modern world. It's time we built something to sustain it. Donate, become a member, and help govern how funds reach the projects we all depend on. Link in comments.

Welcome aboard! 🐰 👏😁
Open source quietly powers everything from your terminal to your favorite frameworks, yet maintainers are often underfunded. In 2025, CodeRabbit distributed over $600,000 directly to OSS maintainers, and we’re just getting started! Our support goes straight to maintainers via: > GitHub Sponsors > Open Collective > and direct collaborations Helping them build sustainable careers while keeping critical projects healthy and secure! This $600,000 distribution is part of our larger $1M commitment to open source & we’re excited to keep partnering with maintainers in 2026 and beyond! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/edDVUs2s

Welcome aboard! 👏 🚄 We are now up over $3M ARR from Pledge members to OSS maintainers. 💪 💃
We're joining Sentry's Open Source Pledge and putting $100K this quarter toward the tools our community runs every day. Sponsoring: Vite, TanStack, Tailwind Labs, Caddy, Drizzle, FastAPI, Let's Encrypt While funding is one piece of the puzzle, we're building an ecosystem where open source maintainers can actually make money from the software they build. What's the deeper meaning of Open Source? I searched for it in 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, 🇩🇰 Denmark, 🇮🇳 India ... and 🇺🇦 Ukraine. I visited amazing people like Mitchell Hashimoto, Ashley Wolf, Alex Blokh, Andrii Sherman, Volodymyr Agafonkin, Oleksii Holub, Poul-Henning Kamp, Amanda Brock, Justin Dorfman, Kiran Jonnalagadda, Nithin Kamath, and Kailash Nadh. Along the way, I slept in an air-raid shelter, flew in a private jet, and ventured out into Bangalore traffic. The experience changed me forever. Like the rest of the internet, Sentry runs on Open Source. Like the rest of the Open Source Pledge companies, we also believe in paying it back. In 2025, we gave out $750k to the OSS projects we rely on; here’s a sampling of some of them, and why they are so crucial 👇 The Python Software Foundation supports the ubiquitously-used Python ecosystem, and earlier this year they admirably withdrew a $1.5m grant proposal on ethical grounds. But all their work can't be done for free, which is why this year we're giving them $16,750 and our thanks 💌 ViteJS has revolutionized JS bundlers through its quick builds and intuitive dev server. ⚡ Beyond that, it has also become the foundation for other excellent technologies like Astro. We use Vite all the time, which is why we gave them $4,361.53 this year. SvelteJS helps us build snappy and accessible websites. Its small learning curve and lightweight size make it a great middle ground between vanilla JS and heavier frameworks. We're giving Svelte $3,380.71 this year to show our gratitude for their great work 🌟 The Apache Software Foundation supports a whopping 394 projects, so when show-stopping vulnerabilities like Log4Shell happen, they're one of the first to step in to help. Without them, the internet would be a scarier place. This year we're giving them $10,000, as well as our heartfelt gratitude. 🙏 Compared to higher-faff frameworks, Astro's performance and ease of use is a breath of fresh air, which is why we choose it time and time again. We gave Astro $2,161.58 this year and made sure the Astro ⇌ Sentry integration works out of the box 🌠 …and that’s just a small taste of the >600 projects we backed on thanks.dev alone, which doesn’t include the foundations we supported like our friends at The PHP Foundation and Rust Foundation See our newest blog post outlining all our 2025 contributions, and follow Open Source Pledge to learn more about giving back to Open Source! https://lnkd.in/g4ydzj4u
