McKinsey & Co. state that generative AI describes algorithms, such as ChatGPT, that can be used to create new content, including audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos. In an interview with CNN, "Avatar: The Way of Water" director, James Cameron, said that, "Dreams are kind of like a generative AI. I think they're making imagery from a vast dataset that's our entire experience in life." In films, images can be turned into videos.
