You measure each of these tools to see if they help you accomplish these goals. In most cases, automation is a very attractive option. The end goal of building an automation strategy is to make difficult processes easier, faster, and more accurate. But moving from a purely manual approach to a much more automated process is not automatic. You'll be identifying a tool, deploying it, and making big changes to your organization and processes.
