The following poem started from the lyrics of the song “Rule the world” written and performed by Take That. It was created for the movie “Stardust”.
However, I couldn’t pass the lines of loss after the first two verses. My inner process wasn’t ready. Inner movements wanted me to bring the losses to an end. All the losses in my life. Among them my grandma who died last year, two women I so purely loved but broke up with me, and many others I loved. Everybody I loved.
“No you” is the result of letting speak my inner path instead of following the lyrics.
…
You light the skies up above me.
A star so bright, you blind me.
Don’t close your eyes. Don’t fade away.
My heart, I know, now I’m losing you.
So pure, your love, so amazing.
Life closed our lines. You went away.
You’re body is gone.
I’m left to stay. Alone.
No you.
Only I.
… and the dark sky.
