Send friend request with Ajax

I’ve looked at countless similar posts with no replies or luck. I am trying to find a way, using JavaScript, to send a friend request. The concept of the site is that you can swipe left/right, and if you swipe right it should send a friend request without leaving the page or changing anything (so preferably with AJAX). I cannot find any documentation on this!
