Consuming food is the most common way to restore hearts in Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild, and collecting Spirit Orbs isn't a bad solution either. You can also heal by sitting in a hot spring (at least the in-game hints say that), and if you have enough Spirit Orbs, you can also restore hearts by praying and gaining a Heart Container. However, because I'm too lazy to go hunt down shrines, haven't found any hot springs yet, and just doesn't want to eat food in case I'll need it during "desperate" situations, is there any other way to restore hearts?

Hot springs aren't really a good way of getting health anyway. They're rare. Commented yesterday

As far as I'm aware, the only other method of getting health is by sleeping in a bed. From the Fandom,

Beds are found in Inns throughout Hyrule Kingdom, mainly in the nine major settlements of the seven Races, as well as in all 15 Stables. Most innkeepers offer a Regular Bed for 20 Rupees. The Stables, as well as Kara Kara Bazaar and Hateno, Lurelin and Kakariko Village, also offer a Soft Bed, which is stuffed with fine Cucco feathers for double the price of the Regular Bed; this will have Link wake with not only full Hearts, but also one temporary Heart. Certain places, such as Link's House, the Great Deku Tree's Navel and the Old Man's Cabin, have Beds which can be used for free to replenish Hearts. As a consequence, they offer no upgraded Bed. The Gerudo, Goron, Rito and Zora Inns offer unique Beds rather than a Soft Bed. These costs 80 Rupees, and provide Link with three temporary Hearts and one temporary Stamina Wheel unit.

Pretty niche, but Mipha's Grace will restore all of Link's hearts upon death. It technically falls into the OP's criteria Commented yesterday
  • @Wondercricket Yeah, but I don’t think it’s what op's asking for :P Commented yesterday

@Otakuwuw They said "without consuming anything, without hot springs, and without shrines". Mipha's Grace is none of those ;) Commented yesterday

@Blue-Blimp There is a quest in Hateno Village (which is near Purah's Ancient Tech Lab) which involves purchasing (and then upgrading/decorating) a house for yourself. Commented yesterday
