🛡️ DeepSeek Security Evaluation – Part 2: Advancing LLM Security Research At Fujitsu Research’s AI Security Lab (FRIPL, India), we continue our deep dive into #DeepSeek-R1’s security vulnerabilities and defense mechanisms. Following Part 1, which evaluated security risks using Fujitsu’s LLM Vulnerability Scanner, we now explore two critical areas: 1️⃣ KG-RAG Robustness: We assess how DeepSeek-R1 withstands adversarial attacks on its Knowledge Graph Retrieval-Augmented Generation (KG-RAG) pipeline. Using our Spectral Weakening technique, we measure its resilience against manipulated knowledge graphs, revealing DeepSeek’s high sensitivity to perturbations, leading to misalignments and hallucinations. 2️⃣ Hypergraph-Based Defense: To counter jailbreak attacks, we introduce a novel black-box defense leveraging Hypergraph metrics.
