Block Templates for pages

I created block template via FSE archive-give_forms.html and it works great!

Then I created the same way for single single-give_forms.html – but single forms (even new ones) still uses plugin php template, so there are no header & footer (because they are blocks but template is php), why? Is this not ready yet to use? If so why it’s available to create but never uses by plugin?

Glad you reached out. Happy to help!

This is a known issue with GiveWP. Basically, themes utilizing FSE will not show the header or footer for the single view of the forms. I don’t have a timeline for it, but I’ve added this ticket into the report so that we can update this post when a fix for it has been released.

As a workaround for now, you can create a new page and then use the donation form block or shortcode to show the form on a page.

In this way, you can still use the header and footer that you’ve created for your theme while showing the donation form.
