Solution: Table setup in Copilot
(upbeat music) - [Instructor] I hope you enjoy taking your first independent steps with Copilot. Now it's time to reconvene and review your solutions by comparing them with mine. Open 01_04, Chapter 01 Challenge to follow along. To begin, ensure all the necessary steps for using Copilot are in place. I'm going to open app skills and see if we're ready to go. It looks like there is one step that I missed, which I actually need to turn on AutoSave. Even though my data is uploaded to OneDrive, I still need AutoSave turned on. I can do that down here, lower right or upper left. I'll do it up here, and you'll see that app skills should boot up for us shortly. My first task is to refine the date column. You'll notice it's in a serial number format right now. Let's insert Copilot to convert this formatting. We'll run our prompt, and apply the suggested formatting. And that's a much easier date format to look at now. Although the situation with the price and sales columns isn't as critical, formatting these as currency is still a wise move. So we'll actually have Copilot format these together. Apply. And just a little bit more professional formatting here. Following that, I'll direct Copilot to append a total to our table. Okay, and it looks like we get a preview of how this will behave. I will insert that. Looks like Copilot added a sum for the last three columns. Give ourselves a little more space here. That looks okay to me. And if I do want to change these to an average or something like that, you can use the dropdown here. Finally, I will request Copilot to enlarge the font size to 30 for our table data. Let's apply. And it looks like the body of the table has been formatted. The header and the footer, it looks like, is a smaller font. So we could ask Copilot for assistance there if we choose. I'm going to go ahead and undo this feature for right now. These formatting tools are not only sleek and considerable time savers for those who are not well versed in Excel's shortcuts and menus, this also just represents the beginning, Copilot boasts an array of functionalities, which we will delve into in more detail in the next chapter.
