Let’s begin! To begin, we will dump cs2 to get all the necessary offsets. To do that we will use A2X dumper which dumps cs2’s schemas. You might be asking though, just what are offsets? Offsets are the distance (in bytes) between the start of a data structure and a member of that structure. For example, say that we have a struct:struct Player { int health; // The amount of health the player has. vector origin; // The position of the player, stored in a vector (x, y, z).}; In this struct, we have 2 variables: health and origin. The health variable represents the player’s health, and the origin variable represents the player’s position in a 3D space (stored as a vector with x, y, z coordinates). When this struct is laid out in memory, each member has a specific offset from the start of the struct. The health variable is the first member, so its offset is 0 bytes from the beginning of the struct. The origin variable comes next. Assuming an int is 4 bytes and there is no padding added by the compiler, the origin variable would have an offset of 4 bytes from the start of the struct. Member Offset Example Address Player 0x1000 0x1000 Health 0x0004 0x1004 Origin 0x000C 0x100C Say we wanted to get the health of the player, we would get it by adding health to player I usually do it like so: int health = *(int*)(offset::localPlayer + offset::health); What that does is dereferencing a pointer and casting the value to an integer. &quot;What the fuck does that mean!!!???&quot; Ah sorry, I should’ve explained. Dereferencing a pointer basically just gets the value stored at the address which the pointer points to, and by casting you say what type you want the value to be read as if that makes sense. This is very useful knowledge for game hacking. Just know that writing is different, right now all we are doing is reading from that address and storing the value to a variable called health. I will not go in depth about how you can to write to memory (as easy as it is), that is because writing memory is detected by VAC 99.99% of the time. Alright, so to dump offsets with a2x’s dumper we have to run cs2, once the game has fully started and you are in the menu you can run the a2x-dumper.exe file. P.s I do recommend putting the executable in a seperate folder so you can easily find the output folder.
