    For decades, Silicon Labs has helped drive technological growth and semiconductor innovation in Texas. Today, I’m incredibly proud to celebrate the opening of our new Austin Innovation Center. This is an important milestone in Silicon Labs’ partnership with the State of Texas to advance semiconductor innovation and reinforce Texas as a leading destination for semiconductor research, design, and development. Supported in part by a $23 million grant from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund established by the Texas CHIPS Act, the new R&D lab expands our ability to develop the next generation of wireless technologies. With enhanced resources for advanced chip design, testing, and validation, our teams can work more efficiently across disciplines and accelerate innovation throughout our wireless portfolio. This opening reflects significant planning, investment, and collaboration. It demonstrates what’s possible when industry and government work together to build lasting technology leadership and economic opportunity in Texas. Thank you to Texas Economic Development, the Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and the entire Silicon Labs team whose hard work brought this facility to life.   • Early last year, we announced that Silicon Labs had received a $23 million grant from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund, established through the Texas CHIPS Act, to support cutting-edge R&D in Texas. That investment came to life with the opening of our Austin Innovation Center. The new R&D lab expands our capabilities in advanced chip design, testing, and validation, giving our engineers access to state-of-the-art equipment and collaborative workspaces where they can develop and validate new technologies more efficiently. The facility will accelerate innovation across our wireless portfolio, including our Series 3 platform, and support the development of secure, intelligent, and energy-efficient solutions for the IoT. This opening is a major step forward for Silicon Labs and a meaningful investment in Austin’s semiconductor ecosystem. By expanding advanced R&D in Texas, we are helping strengthen U.S. technology leadership while building the wireless innovations that will power a smarter, more connected world.   • We were excited to take part in IOTE Shenzhen 2026, where we showcased the latest innovations in wireless connectivity and edge AI. A highlight was our new BG2B Bluetooth® Low Energy SoC receiving the IOTE Gold Award for “Innovative Communication and Positioning Product of the Year.” Our experts also took the stage, sharing their insights through presentations and panel discussions in High‑Precision Positioning Technology Forum, CMGC’s Matter Developers Conference, and Wi‑SUN Ecosystem Seminar.   • CanSat Hungary gives students the chance to take a simulated satellite mission from idea to launch. 🛰️ For the 2026 competition, teams designed, built, programmed, and tested satellite simulations small enough to fit inside a soda can. A rocket carried each CanSat to roughly one kilometer above the ground. During its descent, it measured temperature and atmospheric pressure, transmitted data to a ground station, and carried out an original mission developed by the team. Along the way, students got hands-on experience with system design, testing, troubleshooting, data analysis, and presenting their results. Silicon Labs was proud to support the competition, organized by the Hungarian Astronautical Society (MANT) as part of ESERO Hungary, and the young engineers bringing their ideas to life.
