This week brings the finishing touches for the Eclipse 4diac 3.3 release, with improvements to Wago register communication, deployment and refactoring robustness, and legacy project compatibility, while also preparing the 3.4 development cycle with the move to Java 25.

Update on what development happened across the Eclipse 4diac project in the week from August 21 to August 28, 2026.
This week brings new visualization and event-sequence tooling to 4diac IDE, including FB network topology and sequence views, alongside substantial improvements to OCL validation and type handling. 4diac FORTE extends monitoring to struct members and Wago 750-636 register communication, while RampLimitFS receives corresponding fixes and new limit indicators.
Eclipse 4diac 3.3 Feature Freeze

The feature freeze for the upcoming Eclipse 4diac 3.3 release is now complete, and we are officially entering the stabilization phase.
Our focus over the coming weeks is strictly on testing, fixing remaining issues, and polishing the release ahead of the September 9, 2026 launch. This release brings substantial new capabilities to both 4diac IDE and 4diac FORTE to improve the diagnosis, visualization, and deployment of distributed IEC 61499 applications.
