ReFalcon at 2026 VCF West
Aug 1-2nd 2026 , Mountain View, CA
The ReFalcon exhibit last weekend was a real success. Among the hundreds of visitors who stopped by the project table, asked questions, played games, and enjoyed the ReFalcon prototypes, I had some special guests who made the event even more exciting.
Allan Alcorn, Bill Rehbock, and Leonard Tramiel were kind enough to stop by and check out the displayed ReFalcon prototypes. Kevin Lund from SLCC and my good friend Kavanoz also appeared, giving me the opportunity to share the results of my latest project with them.
Thank you all so much for your interest and support!
On Saturday morning, Chris Collins surprised me by bringing a bin full of treasure to the stand - a collection of original Sparrow prototypes. I was totally stunned and stoked at the same time. Thank you, Chris!
I am going to have a really exciting next few months exploring these rare boards and trying to bring at least one of them back to life. The plan is to document every step of the exploration, as well as the details and findings, on a dedicated page of this website. The link and updates are coming soon!
On the 2nd day of the exhibition at 3pm right after amazing interview with Apple 1 VIP panel including Woz, I had my own Talk session where I presented ReFalcon project to wider audience. It was welcome and ended with applause which is by far the best gratitude I could expect to receive after several months of hard work on this project. Huge thank you all for coming to listen to my ReFalcon journey!
Here's my own recording of the session uploaded to YouTube with my voice bit low so please crank up your volume to listen comfortably. I will try to fix this video to boost and clear the voice as soon as I identify proper tool for the job. Thankytou again!

ReFalcon on Generation Amiga website
2026/03/26
Thank you Generation Amiga for covering ReFalcon project on your website.
There are many retro fans who equally share love between Atari and Amiga including myself. My personal collection of Amiga includes repaired and restored Amiga computers like: A500, A1000, A2000, A1200, A3000 and A4000T.
I equally enjoy spending free time with both Atari and Amiga to bring back good memories of the best times we had back in the 80's and 90's. Thank you!

Re-Falcon premiere at 2026 Indy Classic Retro Computer Expo
March 21-22nd, 2026
This weekend, Re-Falcon had its premiere at the Indianapolis Retro Computer Expo, known as Indy Classic. During the event, I showcased two replica systems. Both were built using the first two PCBs from the initial batch I ordered a couple of months ago. This means there was zero scrap at the prototype stage of the project.
One Re-Falcon motherboard was installed in an original Falcon case, which came from a musician and long-time Falcon user who passed away last year, leaving behind his 30-year-old computer that was beyond repair. The rebuilt system uses all the original peripherals, including the keyboard, floppy drive, and power supply. The only replacement was the motherboard.
The second replica motherboard was installed in a brand-new SLA 3D-printed crystal-clear case, designed by Simon (YT @10p6). I worked to modify the case model to introduce new features available for the replica, including (1) VGA and HDMI-compatible video output, (2) an alternate "Direct DC" power supply option, and (3) CF card side access above the floppy drive. I ordered and paid for the case at professional 3D print shop.

During the Indy Classic show, I met many great people and made new friends.
Special thanks go to Aaron for motivating me to attend Indy Classic and for helping transport my exhibits to the show site. It truly helped me double my efforts in the last week before the show and prepare both replicas for display. Without you, my friend, this would not have been possible. Thank you so much!
I also had the great pleasure of finally meeting Greg, who runs the popular retro computing YouTube channel “Power of Vintage.” Greg has an amazing talent for showcasing his Atari gear and telling great stories about fascinating retro projects, which makes his channel one of my favorites in the retro world. I learned a great deal about advancements, new peripherals, and applications for Atari computers when I returned to the retro scene a few years ago. A big shout-out to Greg!

My exhibit at VCF 2025
This was 2nd year in a row I was attending as exhibitor at famous Vintage Computer Festival taking place in Mountain View in California at the famous Computer History Museum. The event took place on Audust 1-2nd.
This time, I was presenting handful of very rare Z80-based computers from Poland designed behind "Iron Curtain" during Cold War in the 80's.
With one of the designs brought back from the ashes in a form of upgraded "Cobra" computer in amazing custom designed 3D printed case. Which design I successfully resurrected in just 8 month timeframe.
There were 3,500 visitors this year attending the show per organizer statistics. It was a real BLAST!
See gallery of photos from VCF West. And click on "Cobra story" link to learn more about my project.

VCF West 2024
Here is a short video from 8051Labs exhibit during last year Vintage Computer Festival West. VCFWest in 2024 took place at CHM in Mountain View, CA on Aug 2-3rd.
The subject of my exhibit was "1989 Computer aided PCB Homebrewing". I presented my tools from late 80's which I used in fabricating my early printed circuit boards while being senior at high school and college student next. All designed from scratch starting from idea, schematic, PCB layout, fabrication and assembly at garage. It is a part of my Bio story which you can access under below button.
