Duga is a community and connection platform built for queer people across the Balkans.
I started Duga as a personal project and have developed it into a full-stack application with features including profiles, real-time messaging, group chats, a community forum, social feed, notifications, photo sharing, user blocking and reporting, and moderation tools.
The project is built with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Socket.IO, Auth0, AWS S3, and AWS Rekognition, with a strong focus on privacy, security, and creating a safer online community.
