I scored this drill press for $20 on Kijiji, but it was non-functional, rusty, and grimy. Turns out it was pretty easy to repair though, it just needed a new capacitor and some cleaning. Oh, and I managed to incorporate some 3D printing as well, of course.

For my electromagnetism course in uni, I had to make a physical demo showing the conversion of one form of energy to another. Naturally, I chose to build a gun - that uses an electromagnet to propel a tiny projectile!
This Arduino-powered device uses a flow sensor and an LCD screen to show you how much water you've used during a shower. It can also estimate the cost, if you have to pay for water by volume. I also designed a watertight 3D-printed enclosure! Complete build instructions are available here.
This is a project I worked on at Hack the North 2019 - Canada's biggest hackathon, held at the University of Waterloo. The project uses a two-axis gimbal to move a laser pointer around and draw images on walls, which can be seen in a long-exposure photo.
This is a project I worked on at DeltaHacks V, in 2019. DeltaHacks is an annual hackathon held at McMaster University. The project uses two stepper motors and a timing belt to move a marker around on a whiteboard. It can draw pretty complex images with surprising detail.
This project won two awards: third place overall, and the Forge Outstanding Technology award.
