The NeoDB web version works on desktop and mobile, and provides the most complete features and experience. Some third-party apps are also available below; they are not affiliated with NeoDB unless otherwise specified.

Mastodon apps

Mastodon compatible mobile and native apps can be used to log in and utilize the micro-blogging features in a NeoDB server.

In addition to micro-blogging, Mastodon-compatible apps can also be used to take notes on the book you are currently reading. Just head to the bookmark section in your app; your currently-reading books are listed there as bookmarked posts, and replying to any of them will create a note for that book.

KOReader plugin

KOReader is an open-sourced document viewer for E-Ink devices. NeoDB has a plugin for it so users can sync progress/rating/comment/note directly from e-readers.

Install NeoDB for KOReader

Install from KOReader's plugin manager

  • Install StoreFront or AppStore for KOReader
  • Open the plugin manager, search for neodb and install it.

Manual Install

  • Download the latest release
  • unzip, rename the folder to neodb.koplugin and copy it into KOReader's plugins directory.
  • Restart KOReader. The plugin appears under ☰ → Tools → NeoDB

Post Install

  • Open menu ☰ → Tools → NeoDB → Sign in to NeoDB… to scan QR code and link your NeoDB account
  • For quick access, bind NeoDB: book actions in Settings → Taps and gestures → Gesture manager
