Step by step
Download songs from Spotify — 3 steps
Copy a link, paste it, take the files. This Spotify downloader reads the URL and shows you what it found before anything is fetched — the link is the only part that can go wrong.
01
Copy the Spotify link
Three dots next to the song, playlist, album or artist → Share → Copy link. In the web player, the address bar already holds it.
open.spotify.com/track/…
02
Paste it into the box
The link type is detected whichever tab is open, so there is nothing to pick first. You get the track list — nothing downloads yet.
03
Download Spotify MP3
A free press takes one row, so press Download on the track you want; tags and cover art are already inside every file. Supporters tick the whole list and get it back as one ZIP.
Coral Field - Midnight Transit.mp3
| What you paste | Example | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| /track/ | open.spotify.com/track/4uLU6h… | One row, one press, one MP3 |
| /album/ | open.spotify.com/album/1DFixLW… | The album in its running order, each file numbered |
| /playlist/ | open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9… | Every track as a checkbox — one a press, or the whole list as one ZIP for supporters |
| /artist/ | open.spotify.com/artist/4gzpq5… | Ten top tracks, with the full release list underneath — the Spotify artist downloader page walks it |
| A name, not a link | Taylor Swift | A search across tracks, artists and albums |
| /show/, /episode/ | open.spotify.com/show/4rOo… | Podcast downloader, which reads the publisher’s feed |
No link, no problem
Download Spotify songs, artists or albums by search
A Spotify downloader normally needs a link. Type a name here instead — browsing what comes back is free, and clicking a result downloads nothing.
| What you type | What comes back |
|---|---|
| A song title | Matching tracks with cover, artist and exact duration — enough to tell two versions apart before you commit |
| An artist name | An Artists tab; open one for their ten top tracks with the full release list underneath |
| An album title | An Albums tab; open one for its own running order |
| Half a title you half remember | Results arrive tabbed and counted, so a vague query is a list to scan rather than a dead end |
Clicking a track result opens the whole result set as a track list, with your pick highlighted — the same view a playlist link gives you. Nothing is queued and nothing is charged, so looking through what a keyword found costs neither a file nor a slot from your daily figure.

Six things it does
Why this is the best free Spotify downloader online
Six things, each with the figure attached so you can check it rather than trust it.
Free, and no account
No card, no trial, no ads and no login field. A free Spotify downloader takes one track a press, with no daily limit, today and tomorrow.
Entirely online
No desktop app, APK or extension: an online Spotify downloader runs on the server, so a ten-year-old laptop finishes as fast as a new one.
Search by song or artist
Type a name and results come back tabbed by track, artist and album, with covers and durations. Clicking one opens the list — it downloads nothing.
Play before you download
The player plays the actual matched MP3, not Spotify’s 30-second preview. Nothing reaches your disk until you press Save this track.
A failed row says why
It stays on screen with the recordings it refused for you to pick from, or a retry worth pressing in a few minutes.
One page, every device
Mobile Chrome and Safari behave as the desktop does, with one extra permission prompt for saving several files.
FAQ
Spotify downloader FAQ
Fifteen questions, each answered in its first sentence. Copyright, privacy and takedowns are on the legal pages in the footer.
Is this Spotify downloader free, and what are the limits?
Free — no account, no card, no trial and no ads. The free path downloads one track per press, with no daily limit — and two downloads can run at the same time: press a row, press another, save each as it lands. A 200-track playlist is 200 presses. A one-off payment sends a whole list in a single pass and hands it back as one ZIP. The MP3s themselves are identical either way.
Do I need Spotify Premium?
No. It works without Premium and without a Spotify account of any kind — there is no login field on the page, and a public link carries everything this Spotify downloader reads.
How can I download Spotify music without installing anything?
In your browser, on this page: an online Spotify downloader needs no desktop app, no APK and no browser extension. You paste a link, the server does the work, and the file arrives as a normal download. We would specifically advise against installing any downloader APK: sideloaded apps are the most common source of malware in this category.
Is there a Spotify downloader for Mac, Windows or PC?
There is nothing to install on any of them. The same web page works on Mac, Windows, Linux, Android and iPhone, because the conversion runs on our server and not on your machine — the hardware you are on decides nothing except how quickly the finished file saves. A separate Mac build and Windows build would be two things to keep current and two things to trust; this is one page, current for everybody.
What audio quality do I get?
This Spotify downloader writes MP3 at 320 kbps with ID3v2 tags and the cover art embedded at 640 px, on every file, with no setting to change. A four-minute song is around 9 MB.
Can I listen to a track before downloading it?
Yes — press play on any row and the player bar plays the actual matched MP3 at full length, not Spotify’s thirty-second preview. Nothing is written to your disk until you press “Save this track”. Playing a row that has not been fetched yet does fetch it, so it counts as one press like a download.
Where are the downloaded files stored on Android, iPhone and iPad?
In the Downloads folder on every phone: Android’s Downloads, and on iPhone and iPad the Files app under Downloads — not the Music app, because iOS does not let a web page write into your music library. On Android, move the files into Music if your player cannot see them; most Android players index Music and ignore Downloads, which is why people conclude a download failed when it did not, and if the player still shows nothing, trigger a media rescan in its settings. On iPhone there are two ways to listen: install VLC and use Share → Copy to VLC, which reads the tags and artwork properly, or connect the phone to a computer and drag the MP3s into the Music app.
Where does Spotify store its own in-app downloads?
Under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Spotify\Storage on Windows and ~/Library/Application Support/Spotify/PersistentCache on macOS. They are encrypted cache files rather than MP3s, so there is nothing to copy out or convert — which is what brings people to a Spotify downloader.
Why was my link rejected?
Almost always because the URL contains /search/ — that is the page you were browsing, not the thing on it. Click into the actual track, album or playlist and copy that. A ?si= suffix, an /intl-de/ segment, an old /user/…/playlist/… link, an /embed/ link and a spotify:track:… URI are all read correctly as they are.
Can I download a private playlist?
Not directly — a private playlist cannot be read without your Spotify credentials, and this Spotify downloader never asks for them. Set it public in Spotify, copy the link, load it here, then set it back to private. The track list is loaded by then, so the window is a few seconds.
Only the first file downloaded. What now?
Your browser blocked the rest. Press download again and allow “download multiple files” when it asks. On a phone the prompt comes early in the job, so answer it and leave the tab open — mobile Chrome and Safari both stop saving if you navigate away mid-run.
Why are some songs missing from my playlist?
Every failed track stays on screen with its reason. Open the row: where a match was the problem it lists other recordings of the same song — 12s longer, Live, Cover — and you pick one or search in your own words; where the route was the problem it offers a retry worth pressing a few minutes later. Chart releases land nearly always; bootlegs and regional pressings miss more often, and would on any Spotify downloader.
It says downloads are still running, or that I hit the daily limit.
The first appears at the third press while two downloads are already going — the free path runs two at once, and nothing was lost: start the next as soon as one lands. The second is the 300-tracks-a-day figure on the free path; it resets, and a one-off payment removes it.
Are ID3 tags and album art included?
Yes. Title, artist, album and track number are written into every file, with the cover embedded at Spotify’s largest size, 640 px on the long edge. Where synced lyrics exist, the finished row also offers the .lrc file.
Is my playlist data stored?
There are no accounts, so nothing is tied to you by name. The link and its track list sit in a metadata cache for about ten minutes, server logs keep the link and each track’s title and artist for at most 90 days, and a job’s files are deleted 24 hours after it ends. The privacy policy lists every item and its retention.
