2026/08/29, around 2 PM UTC - fucking dbus..
you might have noticed an hour-ish long downtime of the whole server, if that is the case then:

basically, i rebooted the server after updates (new kernel and shit you know) and what happened was that dbus just.. died
so as every good System Administrator i panicked the shit out and went looking for answers. since i did not have access to neither another PC or my thinkpad and motherFUCKING
NetworkManager couldn't
work because of well.. dbus not working (lol)
so i decided to use my phone as a tethering
device to access the Internet and look up some stuff. without wasting your time the issue was a corrupted Proton VPN service that randomly became priority no. 1 for my system and so it caused such a massive XML error that as i've said multiple times.. dbus died. so then i disabled the service, uninstalled proton vpn's packages since i do not even use it on this machine and as of me writing this everything seems to be fine.

things are fortunately going pretty alright in my personal life but..
what i am less happy to announce is i got exams very soon and
i'm not really studying that hard so i guess just wish me luck xd
p.s. my city has been having outages because of weather reasons so
if you find the website offline for a bit try again in an hour or
two at worst and pray it's up i guess TwT until the next update, see ya!
2026/07/18 - ever since that last update..
ever since that last update about me having big network issues the whole server has actually been doing pretty great. a lot of new stuff coming and i am also working on a separate status page that well, will be a whole lot better than this one because it will not be served by this server, otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have it (lol) - the issue with this status page is that it serves one purpose and one purpose only: letting users know if the server is aight. the issue? if the server goes down, this page goes down too. that said, i still am trying to find a solution that isn't buy a vps because i don't want to waste money knowing my silly infra solutions will surely work fine.. i hope ;) for now, just know that more stuff will be coming to czkove!
2026/06/10 - network issues, expect many downtimes
unfortunately i am having some.. pretty big issues regarding my network (specifically Wi-Fi) and my server. i am actively trying to fix this but until i probably change my ISP the website will have issues, pardon me.
2026/05/23 #2 - habemus IPv4+IPv6 and it.. works?!
i don't want to jynx this but.. it may just work like this. i was shocked, but now i am shocked with the website working at least.
2026/05/23 - temporary switch to IPv6-only
i am gonna temporarily switch the website to IPv6 whilst my provider is giving me a REAL IPv4 address! until then poor IPv4 only clients won't be able to connect.
2026/05/05 - working on cgit
finally moving my git repositories from evil github to glorious ThinkPad (aka the server) so i can actually do stuff. since i have mostly lost hope in github ever replying to me so it's better to start moving stuff here so that i can become INDEPENDENT from the Corporationz.
2026/05/04 - planned downtime
the mighty and glorious ThinkPad (aka the server) is HOT, because the temperature is HOT. i will let it cool and ill try to optimize the temps. i will try to restore the thing asap, cya.
