reCAPTCHA was broken for a few days, as bot attacks made us exceed the free 10K/mo threshold, & somehow there was no billing attached, despite paying for other Google services with same account. Google didn't notify us of any issues, they just shut it off.
So that's fixed now.
We're going to release user agent filters very soon, to block AI/bot traffic as you see fit, like you already can with countries etc.
We update our global filters weekly, but it keeps getting harder to do that without too many false positives affecting other sites.
There may be a few blips this evening while we fix the networking on one of our servers, as it's been misbehaving since we had to move around all the ethernet cables last week. Likely just a bad cable issue, but we'll see.
We're at the data center today to replace this faulty network switch. There may be some brief moments of network unavailability in the next few hours. We'll let you know when we're all done!
