Delightful spending the weekend hanging out w/ @badchickstudios + many lovely XR folks at the @LightshipAR VPS hack! Janet Cardiff's Forty Part Motet was an inspiration for our app - sound mixing w/ your body in space! (Also ♥️ a hack that ends w/ mimosas 🥂)

Our project was a spatial audio experience that let you "unlock" instrument tracks to build a full song. You could also experiment with different mixes depending on the proximity to the instruments.

Been wanting to do some kind of Art X Science collab with my friend @yagranot for YEARS. Not only did the #xrbrainjam @G4C provide the perfect opportunity, they also teamed us up with amazing collaborators. I’m so proud of this unique, compelling, AND research-applicable project!

Theater director Toshiki Okada explains that an “audience doesn’t ‘perceive’ things that are on the stage, they ‘conceive’ them . . . you create something that will be born in the audience.” How can #VR best leave room for this imaginative work in the minds of its audience?
