Finally, after several years of searching, we have found a provable (and implementable) analog of Nesterov's accelerated gradient method for Riemannian manifolds. Amazing effort by @KwangjunA, appearing in COLT 2020. arxiv.org/abs/2001.08876

Check out the simplest derivation of Nesterov's accelerated gradient method in my student Kwangjun's work: arxiv.org/abs/2005.08304 -- it provides an intuitive way to obtain Nesterov's AGD (so it's not just about analyzing the AGD iteration, but discovering it in the first place!)

Hi, any advice on how to deal with @HomeDepot making it a nightmare to have Washer/Dryer installed (maybe #COVID19 making it harder). HD keeps promising to "call back" but nvr does! should've used @Lowes! #regret Is @HomeDepot well-known to be so unfriendly, esp. these days?

Decided not to AC for @NeurIPSConf this year -- ACing burnout from doing this for too many confs per year....on top, #COVID19 is disrupting too many things right now....
