I tried to “debug” token burn with claude code (i had it today for the first time). Here’s something interesting i noticed. For some reason it burns “extra usage” tokens unusually too much. Previously it would use just a few cents, from $20 extra i had used $1.13 only
@claudeai should I always say “thank you” to Claude code when it does good job to avoid getting punished when AGI comes? What do you recommend? Can I just put it in CLAUDE.md? @bcherny what do u recommend?
