Terms & Acceptable Use

Version terms-2026-07-10.1 · effective 10 July 2026 · SHA-256 b5b69d3d615c2524774625bb648470d0af17d91c236f0e00eead01120b7f75f4

By using videngineer.com and its tools you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

videngineer provides video analysis ("teardowns") and the Asset Extractor (which lists assets from a public web page you submit). The service is provided "as is" and on a best-effort basis — results may be incomplete or vary by site.

2. Accounts

You sign in by email magic link. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your email secure. One account per person/organization unless agreed otherwise.

3. Acceptable use of the Asset Extractor — important

The Asset Extractor only lists assets that are already publicly available on a page you submit. It is provided for research and reference.

You confirm, each time you use it, that you have the right or permission to access and use those assets — for example, you own the brand, or you are its creative producer acting with the brand's permission. You must not use it to copy, clone, impersonate, or commercially exploit a brand or its assets without permission from the rights holder.

You also agree to:

You are solely responsible for how you use any assets you extract. videngineer does not grant you any rights in third-party assets and is not the owner or licensor of them.

Extracted material & your responsibility. videngineer analyzes videos you submit and extracts material — clips, frames, audio, transcripts — for study, reference and analysis. You are responsible for how you use extracted material. Studying structure, referencing technique, and internal team review are what the tool is for; republishing someone else's work as your own is not, and responsibility for any such use rests with you, not videngineer. We respond to rights holders' takedown requests (see /dmca) and may remove material or suspend accounts that misuse the service.

4. Prohibited conduct

5. Intellectual property

The videngineer software, brand, and content are ours. Assets extracted from third-party pages belong to their respective owners — we claim no rights in them and pass no rights to you.

6. Takedowns / DMCA

If you believe content or use of the service infringes your rights, see our copyright & takedown policy or contact [email protected] with details and we will respond promptly.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, videngineer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for your use of any extracted assets. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the prior 3 months.

8. Plans, payment & refunds

Paid plans, limits, and any free allowances are described on the pricing page. Free-tier limits (including crawl limits) may change. Refunds, cancellations, and credit expiry are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which controls in the event of any conflict with this section.

9. Refunds & cancellation

The single controlling policy for cancellations, subscription refunds, and credit top-ups is the versioned Refund & Cancellation Policy. If other site copy differs, that policy controls. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You can stop using the service anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted with a new date. Questions: [email protected].
