I’m from Xiamen, on China’s southeastern coast across the Taiwan Strait. I spent several formative years in Beijing’s Haidian district and in Baltimore, and have called Silicon Valley home since 2012.
我来自中国东南沿海、隔着台湾海峡的厦门，曾在美丽的北京海淀和巴尔的摩分别生活数年；从 2012 年起，我一直居住在硅谷。
I studied at Tsinghua in Beijing and Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, then spent more than a decade at Google. There I worked on Search, YouTube creator tools, WikiLoop DoubleCheck for Wikipedia, and smart-contract architecture at Google Labs.

Today I’m building Namefi—bringing DNS names onchain as programmable assets—and editing Ethereum standards, with a focus on safer, more legible wallet experiences. I also make small tools and write about what I’m learning.

When software alone wasn’t enough, I founded ERCRef.org, ZaiGeZaiGu, DotLift, and Community Builder Toolbox—communities for Ethereum builders, public-interest technologists, cultural life, and the people who bring communities to life. I also contribute to Wikipedia and served as a volunteer at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
有些事情只靠软件还不够，于是我创建了 ERCRef.org、载歌在谷、DotLift 和 社区构建工具箱，连接以太坊建设者、公益技术人、文化社群和社区发起者。我也参与贡献维基百科，并曾担任2008 年北京奥运会志愿者。
I live in Sunnyvale, CA with my wife and our young kid. Away from screens, I enjoy frisbee, running, bouldering, collecting wall art, and improv. If our interests overlap, please say hello.
