  • Big news from CRN Australia this week, they've featured our managing director Helene Martin on how Pit Stop Technologies turns regional challenges into a competitive edge. No tech precinct, no talent pipeline, no IT cluster on the Yorke Peninsula. Just us, and a team of 17 who are prepared to get in the car and show up for our clients, not just service them from a distance. That's also why our client relationships run long, some going back 16 years, and why our staff stick around. It's the same approach that's just helped us take home the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Award for IT and the 2026 SA Australian Achiever Award. Real people. Real solutions. That's not just our tagline, it's how we do business out here.

South Australian managed service provider (MSP) Pit Stop Technologies, which has added two new trophies to its Kadina office for winning the 2026 Australian Small Business Champion Award for Information Technology and the 2026 South Australian Achiever Award, doesn’t see its challenges as setbacks. Instead, the MSP uses them to its advantage, according to its Managing Director, Helene Martin, who refers to them as the company’s “disadvantage playbook.” Read Athina Mallis’ exclusive interview with Martin to learn more about Pit Stop Technologies and why Martin says she loves a challenge:

  • 📣Big news from Pit Stop   We've just landed a whole page spread in the latest edition of the Local Impact magazine! Of course we filmed the team's reaction to opening it for the first time! 🙊   16 years supporting Local Government, built regional out of the Yorke Peninsula, and it still means something to see it in print 🩵😌   Thanks to LGA South Australia for the feature and for backing the work local government IT teams do every day.     #LocalImpact #LGASA #LocalGovernmentSA #RealPeopleRealSolutions #YorkePeninsula #Kadina #SouthAustralia #ManagedIT #Cybersecurity #RegionalBusiness #BuiltRegional

  • We hit the streets (well, the party) and asked the question that matters most: what’s your favourite thing about Pit Stop? Our mate Sean teamed up with yours truly to grill guests and the Pit Stop team on the night, and the answers did not disappoint. **Full disclosure, I may have done a bit of “gentle prompting” behind the camera for anyone who mentioned social media. No regrets 😝

  • We won a national award... so naturally we threw a party! 🥳 Huge thanks to the clients, businesses and community members who've trusted us with their IT and cybersecurity over the years. You are the reason we get to do what we do, and a win like this was never going to be celebrated quietly! 😎 Big thanks to the Bond Store Wallaroo for having us, what a night. And to everyone who came along and celebrated with us, thank you! Hope nobody's still nursing a sore head from the Pit Stop signature cocktail (you know who you are) 🤭

  • ❌ Before Pit Stop: a dropped call, a frozen screen, and that sinking feeling when the whole office grinds to a halt. ✅ After Pit Stop: our team is on the other end, sorts it, and you're back to work in minutes. That's the difference the right IT partner makes. Not just fixing computers, it's giving you back your day. We've been looking after businesses across South Australia for years, and the biggest thing we hear from clients isn't about the tech at all. It's relief. Knowing there's a real person on the other end of the phone who actually gives a damn. Real People. Real Solutions. Curious what a genuine, local IT crew could do for your business? Drop a comment or send us a message, we're happy to chat. • A lot of small and medium organisations, from local businesses to Councils and Not for Profits, hold off on managed IT because of a few common myths. Here’s the straight talking version. Myth: MSPs are only for big organisations. Fact: It’s actually small and medium organisations that often benefit the most. Managed IT is built to scale, so you get the same level of protection and support as a much larger organisation, sized and priced for where you’re at right now. Myth: An MSP costs more than just hiring someone in-house. Fact: Add up salary, superannuation, training, tools, software licensing and leave cover, and one in-house IT person in Australia can cost well over $150,000 a year, covering everything from cyber security to helpdesk on their own. Most small and medium organisations pay a fraction of that for managed IT covering the same ground, plus backup. Myth: You lose control of your systems once an MSP is involved. Fact: A genuine MSP works with full transparency. Your data and your decisions stay yours. We take care of the heavy lifting, clearly laid out in an agreement so you always know exactly what’s covered. Myth: All MSPs are pretty much the same. Fact: Not even close. Response times, expertise, communication style, and whether you’re talking to a real person or a call centre queue, all vary hugely. That’s exactly why we built Pit Stop Technologies around being local and down to earth. Real People. Real Solutions. Myth: MSPs just fix things after they break. Fact: Good managed IT is mostly about prevention: monitoring systems, patching vulnerabilities, and catching small issues before they turn into downtime. Less firefighting, more staying ahead of it. If you’ve been holding off on managed IT for your business, Council, or organisation because of one of these myths, have an honest chat with us about what it would actually look like. No hard sell, just practical advice. #ManagedIT #SmallBusiness #LocalGovernment #NotForProfit #SouthAustralia

  • There's a federal inquiry underway right now looking at cybersecurity for small and medium businesses, including not-for-profit organisations. If you run a business in South Australia, it's worth knowing what it's actually looking into and why it matters to you. The Committee is examining: •     how cyber-mature Australian SMEs and not-for-profits actually are •     whether government guidance on cybersecurity is good enough and easy enough to find •     whether SMEs need clearer standards to work towards •     how easy it is for businesses to actually procure the right cybersecurity services •     how important staff training is to keeping a business safe •     how cyber maturity affects a business's ability to win government and corporate contracts You don't need to wait for the inquiry to report back to get ahead of this. It's what we help with every day: understanding where your business genuinely sits, closing the gaps with practical steps like multi-factor authentication and tested backups, training your team so they're your first line of defence rather than your biggest risk, and building towards recognised frameworks so you're ready if standards do tighten. That's what Real People. Real Solutions. means to us. A crew who'll walk you through where you stand, in plain English, and help you get ahead of the risk rather than scramble after it. If you want an honest read on where your business sits today, get in touch. We'll give you straight talking, practical advice, not a sales pitch. https://lnkd.in/gsxsW4xN #Cybersecurity #ManagedIT #SmallBusiness #NotForProfit #SouthAustralia #PitStopTechnologies

  • Another big moment for the team ✨ Our National Award win was raised in the House of Assembly by our local Member for Narungga, a proud reminder that regional businesses are being seen and backed at every level. It comes at a time when small businesses across the state are navigating real economic pressure, rising costs, tighter margins and a tough climate to grow in. Recognition like this matters because it shows what's possible when local teams keep showing up for their community regardless of the conditions. Real people, real solutions, and now on the parliamentary record. Thank you to everyone on the Yorke Peninsula who has supported us along the way 💙 #CopperCoast #RegionalSA #SmallBusiness #AustralianSmallBusinessChampionAwards
