🏆 HackUDC 2026 — part of the only team to win two awards at the event: 1st place in the Alén Space (GMV) track and 2nd place in the general GPUL awards. 🏆 Akademia (Bankinter Innovation Foundation) — winner of the 2023-2024 edition.
- During Summer 2026, I worked as a Research Intern at CiTIUS (USC), researching open-world object discovery with semantic grounding: detecting and segmenting object categories never seen during training, and grounding those discoveries semantically.
- During Summer 2025 & 2026, I worked as a Development Intern at IGM Web (Grupo Hotusa), handling the full lifecycle of a monitoring internal tool to observe real-time performance and a Kafka horizontal autoscaler to handle OTA requests.
- During Summer 2024, I worked as a Machine Learning Intern at IDIS, applying ML classification techniques, including ensemble classifiers, for predicting onset of breast cancer.
Apart from personal projects, I have collaborated in multiple hackathons, gaining experience in teamwork, rapid prototyping, and problem-solving under time constraints.
EGS — egswater.com (not public)
My main long-term project: an integrated system that helps municipalities detect water leaks and reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW). Beyond leak detection, EGS acts as a full partner for municipal water management — sensor deployment and IoT telemetry, consumption analytics, anomaly detection with Machine Learning, and a web platform where each town council monitors its own network in real time. Currently serving councils in Galicia. Engineered in TypeScript and R.
BFG-I — HackUDC-2026
A satellite-to-ground DOOM streaming system over simulated LEO links, written in C. Headless DOOM runs on the satellite, encodes its framebuffer to H.264 (QCIF, 20 FPS) and streams it to a ground station over RTP/UDP, with bidirectional keyboard control on a separate UDP uplink and a lock-free ring buffer to keep gameplay interactive under extreme bandwidth and latency constraints. The project behind the double award at HackUDC 2026.
HackUPC 2026 — HackUPC-2026
Automated warehouse simulator built for the Inditex challenge at HackUPC 2026. Boxes arrive on an input belt, are stored in aisles by shuttles and packed onto pallets by a robotic arm, all on top of a discrete-event C++17 engine that models throughput and bottlenecks of the real logistics flow.

A P2P distributed computing network that repurposes old phones as compute nodes. Built on WebRTC with smart load balancing to schedule work across heterogeneous, unreliable devices. HackETSE hackathon project.
MedicAir — hacktoberfest
An event-driven REST API to manage a fleet of medication delivery drones, in Python, with a chatbot interface for real-time interaction and fleet monitoring over MQTT.
Akademia — Akademia
Business intelligence algorithm in R that identifies the 100 best daycare locations in Spain, combining demographic, socioeconomic and competition data. Winning project of the Akademia 2023-2024 programme, from the Bankinter Innovation Foundation.
A data-driven algorithm designed to detect insider trading within prediction markets, engineered in Python and R. Optimized for high performance, using Redis Queues for real-time communication and Celery for parallel data processing.
