NathanChung.
I build software, write about the work behind it, and keep a record of projects, competitions, travel, and experiments that shaped how I think.
What I believe.
I like building things that work well and then figuring out why they work. Most of what I know came from breaking something, reading the source, or staying up too late on a problem that turned out to be a typo. I'd rather ship something small that people actually use than plan something ambitious that never leaves a doc.
The best code I've written replaced code I wrote the week before. The best answers I've given started as questions I asked out loud.
What I'm up to.
A talent arbitrage platform to change how companies find people who are undervalued by the market.
Writing algorithms to play games competitively online — combining Machine Learning with traditional DSA approaches on Battlesnake.
How to cook delicious and healthy meals.
Judged 5× at hackathons across North America. Organized two hackathons from scratch.
Say hello.
Best way to reach me is by mail. I read everything, even if I take my time to reply.
