Most accounting software assumes a human is watching for mistakes. I ran AI agents against my books for a year. The AI held up. The software didn't — no idempotent writes, no structured errors, no type-enforced double-entry. So I built beankeeper.

Just shipped `ofx-rs` — a Rust parser for OFX bank statement files. Handles both SGML v1.x and XML 2.0, parses real-world Mercury bank exports, deals with implicit close tags and timezone offsets so you don't have to. Early but working. ⭐ welcome. 🦀
