The safest RTOS is even safer with IAR tools! Please check out our latest video that discusses how developers making safety-critical devices can leverage IAR’s safety-certified development tools with PX5 RTOS, PX5 FILE, and PX5 NET, which are certified for use in devices requiring IEC 61508 SIL 4, ISO 26262 ASIL D, IEC 62304 Class C, and EN 50128 SW SIL 4. Please check out the video here: https://lnkd.in/gtTN3AES Even if your device doesn’t require formal safety certification, you still benefit from our safety-certified solutions in reduced defects, greater reliability, and overall improved product quality. In addition to safety certification, you can also find many other videos that describe various features and use cases of the PX5 RTOS. Please visit our video library here: https://lnkd.in/gDKzEuey #RTOS #BestRTOS #FastestRTOS #SafestRTOS #PX5RTOS #Embedded #EmbeddedSystems #IoT

Please check out our latest video introducing PX5 RTOS event flags. This video discusses how event flags can help with complex synchronization in embedded systems. It also covers specific implementation features in PX5 RTOS. Finally, a small demonstration of creating and using event flags is provided. You can find the event flags video here: https://lnkd.in/gDKzEuey You can also find many other videos that describe how to use the IEEE pthread API and the unique real-time extensions provided by the PX5 RTOS. #RTOS #BestRTOS #FastestRTOS #SafestRTOS #PX5RTOS #Embedded #EmbeddedSystems #IoT

The C programming language remains the most widely used for embedded system development, at roughly 60-70%, according to several sources. This is no surprise given the memory and processing constraints of many embedded systems. However, with the rise of more powerful processors and greater memory resources, C++ usage continues to climb (roughly 20-25% today). PX5 RTOS size and performance characteristics leverage the highly efficient C programming language. That said, I’m pleased to report that PX5 RTOS now supports an important subset of C++17 multithreading, including thread, mutex, condition variable, and semaphore classes. This support is development-tool-agnostic, but was developed and tested with the advanced IAR EWARM development tools. For more information on the PX5 RTOS C++17 support, please contact us at info@px5rtos.com or visit: https://px5rtos.com/ #RTOS #BestRTOS #FastestRTOS #SafestRTOS #PX5RTOS #Embedded #EmbeddedSystems #IoT

We are happy to report that PX5 NET now has functional safety certification! As PX5 RTOS continues to improve and evolve, we are happy to announce that PX5 NET has received functional safety certification! This milestone means that all three PX5 core products — PX5 RTOS, PX5 FILE, and PX5 NET — are now certified by SGS-TÜV Saar to the highest level of IEC 61508 functional safety certification, namely SIL 4, ASIL D, and medical Class C. This comprehensive certification solution enables faster, lower-risk development of mission-critical embedded systems across automotive, industrial, medical, and rail industries. As with PX5 RTOS performance, our functional safety certification is even better when using IAR Systems’ development tools, since they complement our certified runtime solutions with functional safety-certified code generation, largely matching the same levels as PX5 RTOS, PX5 FILE, and PX5 NET. The combination of PX5 and IAR further accelerates the development of safety-critical embedded systems. For the full press release on PX5 NET functional safety certification, please visit: https://lnkd.in/g--7Pk-V For more information on PX5 NET, please visit: https://lnkd.in/gYU6uPfd Please contact us today to learn more! https://px5rtos.com     #RTOS #BestRTOS #FastestRTOS #SafestRTOS #PX5RTOS #PX5NET #PX5FILE #Embedded #EmbeddedSystems #IoT

The best RTOS is even more MISRA compliant!   PX5 RTOS continues to improve and evolve! The latest PX5 RTOS 5.3.0 release is a perfect example of this, combining new functionality, enhanced performance, improved documentation, and improved MISRA compliance. Using IAR’s C-STAT static analysis, PX5 RTOS meets 301 of the 306 MISRA C:2012 rules and directives. The five minor exceptions are the following: MISRAC2012-Dir-4.6_a        Basic types are used (low severity) MISRAC2012-Dir-4.6_b         Typedefs of basic types without size or signedness (low) MISRAC2012-Dir4.9             Function-like macros were detected MISRAC2012-Rule-5.2_c89  Identifiers not unique in first 31 characters (low severity) MISRAC2012-Rule-5.4_c89  Macro names not unique in first 31 characters (low severity) If you have a new design – especially on a Cortex-R52, Cortex-M33, RISC-V, or SMP-capable Cortex-Axx – it is time to leverage the best, safety-certified, MISRA-compliant, next-generation PX5 RTOS. The numerous technical benefits will help accelerate your time-to-market, reduce overall costs, and enable you to deliver high-quality products.
