What Shipped in The Graph Ecosystem: July 2026
July was a Substreams month. A new sink service moved the hardest operational parts of a data pipeline off developers' machines, the registry was rebuilt around what the data is rather than who wrote...

Most teams do not need to build a blockchain data API. They need to find one that has the data they need. 15,000 Subgraphs already index protocol data across chains, queryable today with nothing to run. Substreams is for the rest: custom on-chain data, extracted your way,

Subgraphs and Substreams are extraction tools. Firehose and Amp are verification tools. These are different layers of the stack, and conflating them leads to misplaced expectations about what any given tool can actually guarantee. The Graph Foundation maps the full picture ⬇️

x402 has been one of the biggest stories of this past quarter in the blockchain space. That protocol is bringing pay-per-request payments to the whole internet. What most don't know is that The Graph Network has run micropayments in production since early 2025 by using

GraphTally: How The Graph Solved Micropayments for the Machine Economy
The World Wide Web is one of the most consequential technologies humans have ever built. Yet the people who designed it overlooked one thing: they built it for humans to use, and that is becoming a...
