    My view is the pre-Ark days of Lightning will be known as the “dial-up” era for payments. If you experienced the dial-up internet era, you will know what I mean.

    I remember those days. Going from POP to IMAP was a big deal and web mail was the easiest way for tech support to get older folks using email. I know because I was tech support at a dial up Internet company.

    The more I think about it, it becomes more obvious that Ark is for Bitcoin payments what web mail was for email. Except it’s even better because you retain self-sovereignty. I don’t think this is priced in yet or observed by industry participants in general. We’re early!

    Bitcoin Core is already essentially multivendor entropy because it mixes OS-generated entropy (like /dev/urandom) with its own in-tree RNG such that key creation doesn't rely on a single point of failure. Why hardware wallets diverge from this technique is questionable. I think
