As the first founding member of Tern, I took a chance on a product I hadn’t seen or used yet. I trusted the vision. Most people deal with the same frustration: multiple email accounts and no clean way to unify them - whether that’s a pile of pinned tabs or constant account switching. Tern solves that problem. Why Tern?
Email didn’t get better. You just got more tabs.
Too many inboxes.
Work in Gmail. Home in iCloud. Another address somewhere else. Tern puts them all in one place, with a small label so you always know which account a message came from.
Don’t relearn email.
Most new apps try to change how email works. Tern doesn’t. Inbox, sent, drafts and archive still work the way they always have.
AI can wait.
You shouldn’t need AI just to read your mail. Grouping, summaries and follow-ups stay off until you turn them on.
One inbox, many accounts.
Adding an account shouldn’t be a hassle.
Gmail, Outlook, iCloud or your own domain. Sign in and you’re done. For custom accounts, we’ll fill in the settings for you when we can.
