LAS VEGAS—December 1, 2025—TCL Industries Holdings Co., Ltd. (TCL), a global leader in smart devices, has selected Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud provider. TCL will leverage AWS's cloud infrastructure and generative AI technology to drive innovation in smart devices while enhancing customer satisfaction.
TCL operates in more than 160 countries and regions, and with AWS's infrastructure, TCL has achieved efficient and unified business deployment worldwide, supporting over 9 million users globally and enabling more than 2.5 billion device interactions.
Using AWS, TCL launched the TCL Art TV brand. By deploying the open-source Stable Diffusion model on Amazon SageMaker, the TCL Art TV achieves text-to-image generation and animated artwork capabilities, driving continuous product enhancement and meeting users' personalization needs. Users can input a few keywords to generate unique artwork, transforming each TV screen into a personalized art display. This feature has received positive customer feedback. AWS provided TCL with end-to-end support from proof of concept, prototype validation, and engineering implementation to operational optimization.
Using AWS services, TCL rebuilt its user data platform, connecting previously isolated data systems and enabling centralized storage with scalable infrastructure for data-driven business decisions. TCL also used Amazon IoT Core to build a global IoT platform, providing comprehensive IoT solutions for its operations and ensuring seamless connectivity and stable operation of its devices worldwide.
To address varying security compliance standards and regulations across different countries and regions, as well as cybersecurity risks and data compliance challenges, TCL has built a global security foundation leveraging AWS. The company has deployed Amazon WAF to defend against malicious requests and automated attacks and has also adopted various services including Amazon Key Management Service (Amazon KMS), Amazon Security Hub, and Amazon GuardDuty to build a comprehensive privacy protection and compliance system, ensuring secure business operations globally.
Beyond cloud services, TCL collaborates with Amazon across multiple business areas, including e-commerce, Fire TV, and Alexa, strengthening its global presence and accelerating product distribution worldwide. For example, TCL joined Amazon's e-commerce platform in 2011, reaching millions of consumers across multiple markets. TCL televisions have consistently ranked among Amazon's top sellers, frequently holding the #2 position in their category. Additionally, TCL has integrated customized features into Amazon Fire TV. TCL is also a key partner for Amazon Alexa, bringing natural, conversational voice control to its smart devices.
"AWS's global infrastructure, full-stack generative AI technology, and leading security and compliance capabilities have enabled us to fully embrace AI from strategic planning to development implementation while accelerating our business expansion," said Sun Li, Chief Technology Officer of TCL. "Looking ahead, we will continue to deepen our cooperation with AWS to accelerate the integration of generative AI with smart devices, providing better smart home experiences for more consumers worldwide."
"TCL is leading the way in merging artistic creativity with smart home technology," said Ozgur Tohumcu, General Manager of Auto & Manufacturing at AWS. "We look forward to exploring even more applications of generative AI to deliver exceptional, personalized experiences to users around the world.”
