Paul Spain
Chief Executive & Futurist
Paul established himself as a technologist in the early 1990’s and quickly gained a reputation as a leader working with clients such as Microsoft, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather and TrustPower. At the age of 24 Paul established Gorilla Technology to bring the best technology leadership to NZ’s small to medium businesses and not-for-profit organisations.
Paul now works closely with Gorilla’s clients helping them strategically leverage technology in order to achieve their goals more effectively. He commentates on technology and business subjects on TV, radio and online, hosts both the NZ Business Podcast and NZ Tech Podcast and is an international public speaker and futurist.
Outside of work Paul loves spending time with his family Selina and Pablo. He also loves travelling – which his media and speaking engagements often help facilitate. Some of the biggest companies in the world such as Microsoft, Intel, HP and Ford bring him to attend events in locations such as USA, UK, India, Taiwan and Australia.

Stephen is a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) known for his strategic vision and innovative approach to technology and risk management whilst focusing firmly on delivering against stakeholders’ outcomes.
Stephen’s ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and his knack for leveraging emerging technologies have positioned him as a forward-thinking leader.
His long tenure at trusted companies such as Hewlett Packard in technology governance and automation, together with first on the ground roles with Cloud Native SaaS leaders in observability and application security give him the ability to help your organisation realise value from investing in managed services that remove friction and risk.

Christine is the dynamic force behind Gorilla’s office operations and financial management, ensuring seamless functioning and efficiency. With nearly a decade of experience at Gorilla as an accomplished administrator, she brings a diverse skill set to the table, enabling Gorilla to thrive in its endeavours. Christine’s dedication and expertise play a pivotal role in shaping Gorilla’s success story, making her an invaluable asset to the team.
Yifan Wu
Product & Programme Manager
With over 18 years of experience spanning project management, product management, and account management in IT industry, Yifan offers a comprehensive skill set to Gorilla Technology. Holding a Project Management Professional certification, Yifan merges theoretical knowledge with practical expertise. Yifan’s career includes diverse roles in finance systems, loyalty programs, and software design.
Since joining Gorilla Technology in September 2023 as a senior product manager and programme manager, Yifan has spearheaded various projects and products, ensuring delivery to the highest standards. Yifan’s commitment to staying updated with emerging technologies underscores our value as a dynamic and adaptable professional within the industry.
