Hate this too, but isn't the cost basically a government mandated insurance fee on the correctness/applicability of the contract and saves companies much higher litigation fees common in US? It's not really for the notary's time or reading, I think a lot of what they receive here

Curious how well this works. So far only tried charging a really low fee like €5, which already improves RSVP accuracy a huge amount over entirely free events, making it higher and simply returning the money when they show up, may work even better. Only caveat: with both

$5300 in $100s please. That's what we said at the bank this morning. See, whenever you have a free IRL event, you tend to get a lot of no-shows. Plenty of people sign up and RSVP, but ultimately far fewer show up. This isn't a big deal if you have unlimited space and anyone can
