One thing you may have missed from the Opus 5.5 announcement blog post is that Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 are coming soon as well with many of the same improvements to performance, efficiency, and safety as Opus 5.5.

Opus 5.5 is the result of your feedback. It communicates clearly, it's cheaper per token than Opus 5.0 with the intelligence of Fable 5.1, it’s very token efficient and works across every effort level. We're also increasing 5h rate limits & giving you a banked reset.

If you loved how Opus 4.6 felt to work with, Opus 5.5 feels like coming home. Same easy back-and-forth with a lot more horsepower underneath. It's the most fun I've had in Claude Code in a while. It's also much cheaper (~40% less than Opus 5 on typical workloads).
