Web Worker Offloading prevents the Divi Visual Builder from loading

    I’ve identified a conflict between the Web Worker Offloading module and the Divi theme’s Visual Builder.

    When Web Worker Offloading is active, the Visual Builder gets stuck on the loading spinner and never fully renders. Disabling the plugin immediately resolves the issue, and the Visual Builder loads normally again.

    Environment details:

    • Theme: Divi (version 4.27.4)
    • Plugin: Web Worker Offloading (version 0.2.0)
    • WordPress: 6.8.3
    • PHP: 8.2

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Enable the “Web Worker Offloading” plugin
    2. Open any page in Divi and click Enable Visual Builder.
    3. Observe that the builder spinner loads indefinitely.
    4. Disable the plugin and retry — the builder loads correctly.

    Could you please confirm if this is a known compatibility issue or if there’s a configuration adjustment we can make to allow Divi’s Visual Builder to work alongside Web Worker Offloading?

    Thanks for the report.

    Since the plugin is experimental, there are bound to be compatibility problems. In fact, I haven’t seen this plugin as an experiment being very successful. I think we should perhaps close the plugin.

    So I recommend you uninstall the plugin.
