    I'm nicely surprised by this well made infra-red heat pad. The jade and tourmaline stone discs heat up evenly and the infra-red heat radiates through them to sooth aches and pains. The simple control piece allows you to adjust the heat setting with up to 12 hours of heat and will shut off by itself. It really helps my spine from the cervical area down to the lumbar region. It's flexible unlike some heavier models so it is easy to place on a pillow, bed or the back of a chair.
    I haven't had it for long but so far have been impressed. Far infra-red heat is said to heal the muscle tissue as apposed to a heating pad that just heats them up. The size I purchased is lightweight and manageable and the price is more than affordable for the relief it provides. 15 years ago a pad like this was was triple the price.

    We splurged and got two for Christmas. My mom got the utk with magnets and it is nice; but so is this. Well made, nice stones and the heat is sublime (no odors or off gassing). In the two days I've had it, did a serious heat (body loves to sweat); but did a few on the lower settings. Which surprisingly, is nice too. The infrared is softer than the heat bulbs & I found that I can turn the heat off and the stones will stay warm for about 10-15 minutes. Right as they’re cooling you can still feel the ions (it’s a vibe). The two types of tourmaline does make a difference. they buzz a little differently and you can tell the (ions?) is a different vibe than the jade (warm; but not quite as warm or infraredy; but really cool) & the warmth of the jade is sooo nice. You can see why the Chinese love it so much almost revere it. Tips: grab some celery seed from amazing herbs, drink a lot of water before you start and you’ll detox like crazy. You’ll detox anyway; but it helps. If you’re not used to sweating, ease into it & don’t over do it. Even on the cooler temps, the infared will do the work. The pain definitely goes down, ease of movement and self adjusting is easier. You’ll feel loose; but expect some back and forth while your body gets used to the new life. For that, so worth it. It is an investment; but you are worth it. Make it part of your routine & you’ll notice life gets better. I probably won’t sweat hard everyday; but having something to help deal with the toxins in life physical and emotional, really makes a difference and you a lot stronger. If you’re on the fence; but know you need it, then don’t hesitate. The only thing I’ll say about the more expensive one is the magnets do work and if you have the cash, you won’t be sorry about it either (but I’ll be buying some natural magnets and put them on…negative side to the body!). I’m super happy with it and it’s an everyday gift for me. Good luck, Merry Christmas!

    Good Product, Disappointing Durability, and Customer Support

    I purchased this heating pad from Amazon a few months ago and initially, I was quite satisfied with its performance. It did its job well, providing soothing warmth, and helping alleviate some of my discomfort. However, after just four months of use, it stopped working altogether. This left me incredibly disappointed, and I now find myself in a quandary.

    Firstly, I attempted to contact the manufacturer in China to inquire about potential repairs or replacement parts, but I couldn't find any contact information for them. I then reached out to Amazon's customer support, and while they were polite and did their best to assist me, they also couldn't locate any contact information for the manufacturer. This lack of transparency and accessibility to the manufacturer is certainly frustrating.

    Now, I'm left wondering what to do with this non-functional heating pad. It's a functional device that has suddenly become an environmental burden, which goes against my personal values. In today's world, where sustainability and environmental responsibility are crucial, products should be designed to last longer, and options for repairing or replacing parts should be readily available. It's disheartening to see that a product with a relatively short lifespan is not backed by a reliable warranty or accessible customer support.

    In conclusion, while the heating pad served its purpose effectively for a brief period, its premature failure, coupled with the inability to contact the manufacturer for potential solutions, is disappointing. I hope that this review will catch the attention of the manufacturer, urging them to improve the durability of their products and provide better customer support options. Both environmental and economic considerations should take precedence in manufacturing, and it's vital that manufacturers and sellers prioritize these aspects in their product offerings.

    Gets hot quickly, and feels really good. You can adjust the heat and also set a timer. I do advise that you plug this in directly into a wall outlet, and try to avoid thin extension cords. I fully recommend this product.
