Eric Johnson is a military veteran and self-published author who served in the US Army and US Army National Guard for twelve years and three years, respectively, and has been deployed on five occasions, including two combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan. He has been published since 2010 and has numerous books available now, on Kindle and Draft2Digital. He uses his combat experience to craft imaginative stories that focus on counterinsurgency warfare, as well as more conventional war stories, depending on the story. He also reads books on the subject, ensuring that while he draws on his combat experience to make his stories emotionally and accurately right, he also applies that knowledge to enhance them and provide a well-researched touch. While he has focused on the conventional side of the futuristic military in the 2-4 Cavalry series, he has gradually shifted to special operations stories and other related tropes, such as the conventional mercenary unit Task Force Green. His primary genre is military science fiction (5th Kommando, C Troop 1-5 Kommando, 2-4 Cavalry series, Eagle Hammer Universe series, and TF Green), and he has written a few books in other genres as well, including the fantasy Tales of Baromir series.
