      We've all been there: you make a small mistake, and the cheap pink eraser on your pencil turns it into a giant, smudgy mess, ruining your work. If you're tired of that frustration, the Pentel Hi-Polymer eraser is the answer. There's a reason these have been a favorite of students, artists, and professionals for years.

      What makes them so great is how cleanly they work. They lift graphite off the page with minimal effort and, more importantly, without leaving behind a trail of residue or ugly smudges.       These are made in Taiwan. These work quite well, but are not as good as some of the erasers made in Japan… but these are better than the Pentel stick erasers made in Mexico .

      I would recommend these as great general purpose for the cost

      I have a lot of erasing to do - crosswords puzzle books so someone else can be entertained by them. I tried out Pentel and Mars Staedtler and I felt the Pentel did the better job (by a nose). An eraser will last me through 40-50 pages of crosswords. Pentel does produce a fair amount of eraser crumb.
