The Golden Wolf and the Stormwielder
Audible Audiobook
– Unabridged
Azalea Mortclaw, the battle-tested Crown Princess of Tyldon, has always known her future marriage would be for the welfare and prosperity of her kingdom. With a wolf in her soul and a sword in her hand, the Golden Wolf of Tyldon has never cowered from conflict or combat. When her kingdom comes under attack by a foe long believed dead, she stands ready to lead her people to victory by whatever means necessary.
Nilos Whitestar, Crown Prince of Zelarum, prizes his compassion and honor above all else. With the power to bend weather to his every whim, he knows he can never risk losing his control. For this reason alone, he has never allowed his parents nor their advisors to rush him into marriage or producing an heir. When his father is assassinated to bring about the resurrection of a monstrous army, he will do whatever his mother asks to protect their people.
Stormwielder and Golden Wolf must meet at the altar to secure an alliance between their rival nations in an impossible war. What happens when Nilos refuses to consummate their wedding night and robs Azalea of the only battle she has been assigned to wage - the political warfare of producing an heir? Can Azalea convince Nilos that the obligation to their people must take priority over his moral code? In a crisis of duty over honor, only love can stand firm in the battle against death and darkness.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2025I picked this story because the cover got me intrigued. They say don't judge a book by its cover but look at it! Isn't it beautiful? And for some reason I didn't expect anything grand. But oh boy did it surprise me! I loved it! I loved the writing, the plot, the action, the connection between the main characters! I felt the emotions and their angst. It had the world building but nothing overwhelming like others that drag the story. It was just as it should be. Congratulations author for this piece of art inside and outside. I think this will be added to my all time favourites
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2025This is definitely a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Tabitha has done an excellent job of creating a world full of endearing characters. I found Azalea and Nilos to be delightful. I wouldn't be sad to read a continuation of this with Jarrett and Deidre's romance as the center.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2025That of Tyldon calls to Zalarum…from the past…from the sword…from the ground…and from the womb…
Honor, duty…I think we’ll skip mercy.
Thanks so much for the introduction.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2025Format: PaperbackThis book is amazing! It’s funny, sexy, with plenty of adventure mixed in. Parts had me rolling and other parts hard me on the edge of my seat! Definitely 100/100 stars
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2025Format: PaperbackTLDR; This was an amazingly written novel! It’s a very easy read, packed with details without being overly verbose. There is a great mix of action, romance, spice, and a really satisfying resolution. I would highly recommend it to those new to romantasy and fans alike.
This novel was written with such cleverness without sacrificing originality. This story reflects a trope that has been used many times, in many ways, by many authors. However, TGWatSW was a welcome adaptation that is unlike any others I’ve read. The world building was done in such a way I didn’t clock it until I was already fully immersed. I almost feel like I can give a history lesson of the lands in which this story takes place. I appreciate the deepens and complexity that is reflected in each characters relationships, whether it be familial, romantic, or sexual, each relationship is unique with quirks specific to the personalities of the characters involved. Also in a seemingly short time there is a well built and easily digestible magic system that is unique amongst the others that have over saturated many fantasy novels. None of the story is forces and there is a good variety of moods that this story flows through. Allowing every character to showcase how they express emotions and how it develops their personality. The characters you start the book with are quite different by the end without sacrificing their entire personality.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2025Format: PaperbackTabitha's books just keep getting better and better! This latest offering is a must-read, reluctant allies-to-lovers against a villain that threatens everything and everyone they love. The male main character is a walking green flag, and the female main character is strong physically, intellectually, and emotionally. They're well suited to each other and their respective best friends are each main character's platonic soul mate - great representation of opposite gender friendships!
I had the honor of beta reading this and cannot wait to get my hands on the paperback.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2025Format: PaperbackThis is a lovely little book! I love how they communicated, worked together to solve their problems, and how the MMC is definitely husband material!
