NYSCA and NYFA Launch 2026 Cycle of NYSCA Reserve Fund Grants
The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) announced the 2026 cycle of NYSCA Reserve Fund Grants (RFG), an innovative initiative designed to help New York State-based nonprofit arts organizations to establish a reserve fund or build on an existing reserve fund.
Grants of up to $50,000 will be made available for a total of $1,760,000 in support.
Applications will close on Tuesday, May 5 at 5:00 PM ET and will be available through the NYFA website.
In FY2026, NYSCA awarded $82 million in direct support to 607 individual artists and 1,658 501 (c) 3 organizations and plans to award $80 million for capital projects.
In FY 2026, NYSCA will award over $81 million for arts and culture organizations and artists and $80 million for capital projects.
Since the NYSCA Capital Projects Fund began in 2018, the agency has awarded 607 capital grants, totaling $300 million, across all 10 state regions through the support of the Governor and Legislature.
