2026-03-12: Removing blog comments and guestbook from Caffeine & Lasers
Things with age verification and privacy invasion is getting pretty hairy here in Australia. I am not totally sure if my implementations of blog comments or a guestbook are in violation of Australia's rules. Who could of guessed these rushed through laws would be ambiguous and have unforseen drawbacks?
Anyway, I have remvoed access for comments and my guestbook from the website for now. I have kept the database for both of them, so I can bring them back if I get a better idea of how the law works.
If you would like to get in contact, I would highly reccomend sendng me an email, or saying hello on Mastodon (where the legal responsibility is on them lol)
