Dataconomy Media GmbH (“Dataconomy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website dataconomy.com. 7. Recruiting Privacy Notice

When you apply for a position at Dataconomy, we process your personal data as follows:

Data collected: Contact details, curriculum vitae, certificates, qualifications, references, and other application-related data you provide.

Legal basis: Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR.

We do not require information unsuitable under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG), such as gender, ethnicity, religion, family planning, or age. Unsolicited information will only be processed if necessary to preserve your application.

Data retention: If you are not hired, your data will be deleted no later than six months after completion of the application process, unless you consent to longer retention for future opportunities.

Confidentiality: Your data is handled confidentially by Dataconomy employees and freelancers who are bound by confidentiality obligations. Data is only shared with third parties when necessary for processing your application, such as when Dataconomy acts as a recruitment agent for partner companies.

International transfers: We do not transfer recruiting data outside the EU unless a partner company is located outside the EU and such transfer is necessary for processing your application. In such cases, appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) will be applied.
