Once upon a time, three freshman and one sophomore wanted to experience a hackathon. Unknowingly, they stumbled upon each other and formed a group at the last minute in hopes to provide a suitable program dealing with the optimization of resources in face of impending natural disasters. However, once solidifying the basic framework, we found we had too little time to develop the code for our simulation. Unfazed, we worked on to finalize a presentation that would most effectively communicate the purpose of our simulation: to help inform citizens and government alike to make optimal regulations and choices.
