Inspiration
We had hardware. We had a hat. The rest was inevitable.
What it does
Weather station on a hat, with a web interface.
How we built it
The code runs on a Raspberry Pi Pico W under a MicroPython enviroment. We coded the application in Thonny IDE.
Challenges we ran into
Arduino libraries for the Pico W have very little useful documentation, so we switched to micropython development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It works!
What we learned
We learned how to use micropython for the Pi Pico (W) and how to connect the pico to a wireless network. We also learned more on using microcontrollers with Python.
What's next for CatHats IX
More sensors, more LEDs. More Haptics.
